Bouchard passes, Flyers, Wings, Kings and Devils win, Playoffs update and more

Well that was some serious hockey last night!

If you missed it, the Flyers and Pens potted a collective total of 13 goals in yesterday's 8-5 Flyers win.

That give Philly a surprising 2-0 series lead.

On the other coast, the Kings continued their domination of the Canucks, grabbing a 2-0 series lead heading back to L.A.

And that is why you've gotta love the playoffs...you truly never know what is going to happen!

If the Canucks lose to the Kings does Alain Vigneault get fired?
If so, does he become the front runner for the Habs head coaching job.
Do we even want him back?

The longer we wait the more names will become available.

@Hockeyhype: I think you could be right on both counts (being fired and being a top candidate for Montreal).

The reality is that yes, as more teams are eliminated from the playoffs, more GM and coaching types will become available.

For me, I'd happily take a look at Vigneault. Unlike his first stint in Montreal, he has a bunch of experience now...not the least of which was a trip to the Stanley Cup Finals last season.

Good coach, fluently bilingual AND he knows what it is to coach in the insanity that is Montreal.
